    An "ad hominem" argument is considered weak because it attacks the person making the argument rather than addressing the substance of their argument itself, meaning it avoids the real issue by focusing on irrelevant personal characteristics or traits, effectively diverting the discussion away from the actual point being debated.

    The clumsiness of delivery doesn't negate facts.
