    Azodicarbonamide (ADA) is a chemical compound that has several uses, including as a bleaching agent in flour, a dough conditioner in bread, and a foaming agent in plastics and rubbers:

    A breakdown product of ADA that has been shown to cause tumors and cancers in mice. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) considered semicarbazide a carcinogen in mice in 1976.
