I’ve decided to vent here instead of keeping everything to myself. This feels like a good place to do it - a semi-anonymous forum.

This year has been rocky for me.

    On the negatives:
This summer, I unexpectedly lost my brother, who was only 48. Around the same time, someone stole our kitten, who had been with us for just a few months. She came into our lives as a sort of replacement for two older cats we lost to age. On top of that, my father was diagnosed with cancer.

    On the positives:
I finished building a Temple in Mexico (not real, but still meaningful). I’ll write a separate post about that adventure one day. I also launched a new startup in the energy and compute sector. It’s been a tough journey, but I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far—even managed to secure a couple of patents (not sure how useful they’ll be, but hey, it’s something).

On a brighter note, my father underwent chemo and has recovered. My kids are growing up fast, and I love being part of their lives. I snowboard with them sometimes. My son is passionate about making music, and my 10-year-old daughter is into drawing. Recently, she decided to learn electric guitar.
    Life goes on.

So for the next year, I wish you all to stay positive and, most importantly, look after your health. We’re not getting any younger, no matter what they say about life expectancy improvements. Take care of your loved ones - they’re what matters. And don’t forget to check in with your folks.

Happy New Year!! you crazy ones!
