The fact that, starting this morning, police in Romania are picking up people from their homes because they have posted anti-establishment messages on Facebook, reminds me of the totalitarian communist regime that I lived under in the first 10 years of my life. Even though I was a child at that time, I still remember very well the fear to think and speak freely. I had hoped I would never get to relive those dark times, but it seems that, unfortunately, history is repeating itself.
