    Discord is a strange concept. The original use (live communication between gamers) makes complete sense. Then they made it a wider community covering every conceivable topic. They basically made Discord Reddit-like. But not as a forum with posts and replies, but as a continuous chat.

    I see how it's very relevant for smaller closed communities, but as a general tool for discussion in an open server with thousands of people continuously adding comments in an endless linear stream, I struggle to find it useful. I find it stressfull too, tbh.

    Am i missing the point? What do you use it for?
