I have a Republican friend who looks to me for objective advice and perspective. I have to explain things in a very basic way, but he listens.
But it's challenging to deal with "well let's wait to see what happens" people, and people who have just not ever objectively focused on the rogue's gallery of people who have sucked up to Trump, enabled him, worshipped him, etc.
This Matt Gaetz pick for AG... holy hell what unethical insanity. He's one of several being chosen for speaking out about the "weaponization of the DOJ" because they want to put an end to it.
No, they want to ensure the DOJ, and laws, and rules, aren't used against THEM, because they're the ones who abuse it the most. The ones who are hindered the most by it, the ones who don't want to suffer any legal consequences for doing objectively bad or illegal things.
That's the thing that's so hard to explain to politically apathetic people. I just gave an example to my daughter on the way home from school that she understood so clearly, at NINE; most of the Republicans I know are grown adults who cannot understand that all this grievance against the weaponization of government is entirely subjective, because they're team is sick of getting in trouble for doing things THEY SHOULD GET IN TROUBLE FOR.
- Thankfully, it looks like the Senate is high unlikely to confirm him.Continuity
- "As attorney general, Gaetz would have access to Justice Department investigative files on him"
LOL******** - Ofc the same with Trump on all his indictments********
- Turn it and ask him to give the reasoning behind Trump's picks, with popcorn in hand.formed
- I couldn't waste a second on anyone that would even entertain voting for the Cheeto.formed
- Shocking pick for an AG, even for trumpGnash
