A concept I've loved since I was a kid: HOTOL/SABRE.
A decade or so ago I think I was still convinced this'd be a better route than balance-act recoverable rocket descents, but Starship's recent Chopstick capture was clearly the final nail in its coffin.
Small satellites aside, this tech probably represents the UK's last principal indpenedent relevancy in space tech. Oh well, at least we have Europ... oh.
Oh. We've made some good decisions, eh?
