pr2 isn’t doing a great job of making his point, but it IS his point, yet we refuse to listen.

Do we still not see that people are voting for Trump despite not liking him at all? pr2 doesn’t even like Trump, but he sees the Left as having gone too far and there is no other option to vote against that. So he’s stuck voting for the lesser of his two evils.

His post, but mostly OUR RESPONSES TO IT represent a perfect example as to why Trump has a shot at winning, despite being a total maniac.

It’s not that the left is wrong (whether you are wrong or right is beside the point.) It’s that we’re not listening. We’re only hearing what we want to hear.

It’s too late for this election, or course. But democrats need to wake up. Or, keep doing what we’ve been doing and scratch our heads as to why we lose.

    • If Dems are the left, my name is Laika and have returned alive from spaceOBBTKN
    • Fair enough! It means that you, too, vote for someone you don’t like.

    • @nb couldn't agree more. An 'anything but Trump' strategy seems to be the least productive approach and potentially the worst outcome for the US.Morning_star
    • I disagree. Trump would be potentially the worst thing for this country. And “not listening” is irrelevant. We vote.monospaced
    • His point of view is based on lies and fear mongering. And Trump isn’t “smart”monospaced
    • If we lose it isn’t because we didn’t listen. Voting is all we can do as citizens and Kamala isn’t “evil” either. She also isn’t a criminal.monospaced
    • As you can see, mono is doubling down on his decision to not listen. Stick your head in the sand, man. See how that works out for you.

    • Your vote only cancels out one trump voter. You need to think bigger.

    • Digging in your heels and shouting “but we’re right!” hasn’t worked in over ten years. Why do you think it will work now?

    • I’ve listened, their point of view isn’t ignored. But voting is the only option.monospaced
    • Please elaborate on what you’re doing that is “thinking bigger” than voting, and how you will go beyond canceling out one trump vote.monospaced
    • If you mean listening and being active politically in a community, I’m way ahead of you.monospaced
    • @mono is your stance about the politics or the personality? I don't think anyone is arguing that Trump would be good it's just that decision isn't just...Morning_star
    • ...about him, it's a broader political consideration.Morning_star
    • Pretty much anyone on this board is as "smart" or often even smarter than Kamala. Sad but true.pr2
    • The left has gone too far with what exactly?colab
    • my 5 year old was told in public school just north of NYC that "boys can be girls" (verbatim statement)pr2
    • this is not "too far" for you?pr2
    • @pr2 "anyone on this board is smarter than Kamala" lol, you had me laughing there. Try passing the bar exam and then attempt that comment again...brandonp
    • "learning to cook steak is harder than passing bar" - my not so bright friend who ended up becoming a lawyer.pr2
    • I can learn to cook a steak in 10 minutes. wtf are you talking about.

    • If you base your vote on what a toddler told another toddler at school then we aren’t even on the same level.monospaced
    • This idea that democrats are changing kids sexuality is ridiculous. It’s simply not true. Also, you sound ignorant AF if this scares you.monospaced
    • Let the upvotes speak for themselves
