When people ask why Americans would vote for Trump...I think you have to keep in mind that almost every government in the world that was in power during COVID has been voted against or voted out of office. Also Democrats have had the presidency for 12 out of the past 16 years.

So the default would be that Republicans win this year...Democrats are fighting against that trend with the help of Trump himself.

    • This makes no sense. Trump was in power at the beginning of the pandemic.dbloc

    • He was but it's more about the after effects of the pandemic like inflation and cost of living. Also I think Republicans have been successful in diverting blameyuekit
    • that's why they spent so much time promoting conspiracy theories like the vaccines killing millions of people or that Fauci created the pandemic.yuekit
    • You have to give credit to the Republicans that they are very good at propaganda like this. If you go on social media you'll find people defending the bleachyuekit

    • You can't build a society with this kind of people anymore, America is in very deep waters this time.

    • It's a cult. Cults have followers. It's very hard for the followers to see anything outside of the cult. They will believe anything.dbloc
    • Well, we did build a society with “this kind of people,” though. Slavery was deep. Civil rights movement was too. This isn’t the end of anything.monospaced
