A friend of mine has already trucked out the anti-Harris argument by bringing up her 1% in a crowded field in 2019. It's true that she didn't garner support. But 1% isn't a yardstick when you have nine candidates, or whatever it was, and one or two pique the interest of the voters; there won't be votes for most, and there weren't. Now it's different: She can run on the administration's successes as the sitting VP, and offer a plan for the future, which she and her staff have a month to hammer together. This is going to help neutralize the main drawback she had as a candidate, which was that she wouldn't answer questions in a straightforward manner, as she was trying not to offend anybody.
