    Introducing 4lph4bet-next_v040:
A Revolutionary Stable Diffusion LoRA for Font Generation
Since the end of 2022, I’ve been exploring the exciting possibilities of font generation using Stable Diffusion. My initial experiments involved using img2img techniques with archetypal letterforms and custom LoRAs to create new variations. However, my ultimate goal was to generate entire, consistent fonts in a single process.

This goal led me to develop the 4lph4bet font generation LoRA family, with 4lph4bet-next_v040 being the latest milestone. Trained on a diverse dataset of fonts arranged in a specific grid system, this data enabled Stable Diffusion to implicitly learn both the archetypal forms of individual letters as well as the consistent style that defines a font.

    • I haven't tried it, I'm somewhat skeptical about its ability to create novel, interesting or even useful new fonts.kalkal

    • interesting they all seem quite humanist and even handmade, no sign of machine font anywhere._niko
    • "font generation" LOL
      ********
    • People still have no clue how AI works AND have no clue how fonts work apparently
      ********
    • "All the samples I've generated so far have been created using the Stable Diffusion 1.5 checkpoint, upscaled 2× using Hires"
      ********
    • People still have no clue about difference between fonts and typefaces LOL
      ********
    • The part you've quoted regarding the usage seems sound, which aspect of that are you taking issue with?kalkal
