Actually a 'not hate Illy' post:
Have I missed something, or has Illy recently started adding low resolution previews of un-embedded graphic assets in files?
I've just received a load of files, again, that have unembedded assets I need, but I'm sure normally I'd be greeted by a blank box with a cross through it, or something, rather than a low res preview?
If this is new, it's handy.
- It's a hack, but you can extract compressed images from the preview PDF that is embedded in an AI file; That may be what you're seeing...evilpeacock
- Once you save over an AI file missing external assets the PDF preview is updated and becomes useless. Not sure if that has any bearing on new changes though.evilpeacock
