Short comics by Johnathan Djob Nkondo
Hellow
It is more a book of illustrations, very interesting because it shows how the author applies a self-applied constraint to make them (which later ends up being an intrinsic part of his usual style). 200 drawings using only 4 elements: a flexible tube, an abstract surface, a sphere and a character, creating a strange and emotional universe.
In Paix
Life of a mature couple on a small semi-artificial satellite lost in space, explores marital relationships in a futuristic and minimalist environment. The story follows Marlène and Jerry, an elderly couple living in a house-satellite in space. When a thunderous noise interrupts their tranquility, Marlène takes the opportunity to confront Jerry about his apathy. The graphic novel skillfully combines scenes of conflict with reflective moments. This first volume in the "Jerry & Marlène" series, which is expected to expand in 2023, serves as an introduction to these two characters.
Errance
"Errance" follows two men whose lives are defined by distinct habitats in a vast desert, where fantastic creatures take refuge in geometric oases. Although the surface is barren, society thrives in the depths with theaters, road interchanges and more. Throughout the story, the lives of these men intertwine without their knowing it.
Note: He made the characters of the great animated series Scavengers Reign.
