The weather will only be shit on Friday (14°, 75% chance of rain). You're getting 21° on Thursday, 22° on Saturday.
The Pinakotek is a must-see, and Miesfan pointed out.
However, if that's not super-cool with kids in tow, then you can kill two birds with one stone: see interesting stuff and keep kids entertained by going to the Deutsches Museum (S-Bahn station Isartor, the required exit is clearly marked on the signage).
It's a science and tech museum with a super aerospace/space exhibition. Also, enough cranky, pushy, pully, turny things to keep junior busy. Buttons are toys, remember this.
Unfortunately, I can't join you for ice cream on account of other plans. :\ But, if you want the best ice cream in town (my opinion), you'll want this shop in my neighbourhood (it's also a ten-minute walk over the bridge from the Deutsches Museum, heading east):

Rosenheimer Str 14It's my local, and it's the best ice cream I've had in years. The pistachio is killer, and the Haidhauser (lavender with a blackberry coulis) is just sublime. They also have very excellent vegan options.
- trying to find birds in Munich is always fun, so good luck with that stone. going to Isar to hit the Ducks is cheating! :)sted
- I just go swimming in the Isar. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Continuity
