How does bluesky exist without a lawsuit? jack dorsey sells twitter then takes the structure and likeness which he no longer owns and re purposes it as bluesky?

    non compete? intellectual property?

besides the overpriced sale elon paid for the userbase more then anything.

    • imo he paid for all the eyeballs looking at ads and the brand recognition. then he took a giant shit on the brand recognition, and scared off half the users.BuddhaHat
    • because Elon didn't put a non compete part in the contract?Nutter
    • as i understand it bluesky (proprietary social network) is built on bluesky (decentralised open source protocol funded by twitter under jack dorsey)kingsteven
    • so i think a lot of the 'structure' is defined by the protocol and the UI doesn't infringe enough. but i imagine there will be some litigation down the line.kingsteven
