New analysis of the hospital strike suggests everyone was wrong. The video footage that was thought to show a misfired rocket was a different incident occurring a few seconds beforehand. The explosion supposedly showing the hospital being struck was also a different incident.
- Says AlexGnash
- good analysis here:
https://www.youtube.…fadein11 - I’m not surprised. Both accounts seemed reactionary to me.monospaced
- In Alex’s own words “I have not found anything pointing to the IDF being behind the explosion at the hospital”Gnash
- And “Occam's Razor remains that a failed rocket from the barrage impacted the parking lot of the hospital”Gnash
- So still Hamas’ buddiesGnash
- More likely still Islamic Jihad rocket based on the aftermath of the site itself. It's just that the video everyone was using to say it was a misfired rocketyuekit
- is showing a different event. So the rocket that hit the hospital wasn't captured on video apparently.yuekit
- What ‘everyone was wrong about’ was that IDF bombed the hospitalGnash
- .. not some obscure detail about how the explosion happenedGnash
- It's like you're determined not to understand things at any more than the most superficial level.yuekit
- Occam's Razor means he thinks it's most likely, not that it's proven Israel didn't strike the hospital.yuekit
- New York Times and Channel 4 both say it's inconclusive. Associated Press says a failed rocket but they used the wrong video to reach that conclusion.yuekit
- He also pointed out that the video Israel released claiming it showed the hospital bombing actually cuts out before the bombing happened.yuekit

- Israel also did shoot at this same hospital just days before the incident. In spite of that I think it can still be a misfired rocket but it's less certainyuekit
- than when it looked like they had the rocket itself on video falling on the hospital.yuekit
- You’re even more determined to obscure the discourse with a barrage of minutia. It really is quite simple.Gnash
- But don’t dispare. Things have just stared and there will be plenty of brutality from the IDF for you post about. This just isn’t the oneGnash
- Is this similar to your conspiracy about the New York Times using the wrong picture intentionally?yuekit
- That was imaginary, remember? And similarly I was just following the debate over what happened.yuekit
- I don't have a secret agenda to "obscure the discourse with a barrage of minutia" whatever that means. Just interesting to watch people try to figure this out.yuekit
- Another investigation by NYT reaches the same conclusion.
https://twitter.com/…yuekit - "Our analysis does not answer what actually did cause the blast or who was responsible, but it does undercut one of the most-publicized pieces of evidence usedyuekit
- by both American and Israeli officials."yuekit
