Depends on what you're looking for. While PS2 is "outdated," it still has the largest audience and also the most games, both in back history and in the increased chances that a future game will come out for it. I find that between my PC and PS2 I usually get to play a new game that catches my eye on ONE of those two.
XBOX I don't have... but if I were to get a second console, that would be it. Much nicer hardware inside... of course the PS2 is older.
