Turns out my daughter can more quickly fall asleep to my [embarrassingly awful] gabba-like vocal beatboxed beats than she can nursery rhymes.

I, for the life of me, couldn't recall the tune to Rock a bye baby as I tried to sing it to her, so did the words and - just to amuse myself slipped into a hardcore gangster rap version, before apropos of nothing transitioning to a deep hardcore drumbeat with an occasional melodic persuasion and what the fuck would you know she was fast asleep in less than two minutes.

She's an 'Ackney girl, so just you wait for 12 years before she's dropping gabba crossover future grimes of london on yo' late middle age asses.

    • And here I am singing full sets every night.monospaced
    • In a house full of girls, you can imagine the music they play on Alexa... Therefore, I prefer not to take part in these kind of musical-family events.OBBTKN
    • I tried changing the repertory at home. Sadly, wheels on the bus is more popular than King Crimson : (maikel
    • lol... oddly enough, my kid would only fall asleep if I sang 'witches promise' by Jethro Tull... not quite King Crimson, but close enough lol...exador1
    • she's 20 now, and actually DOES love King Crimson these days, especially stuff like 'in the court of the crimson king' and 'thela hun ginjeet'exador1
