A while back I was almost going to buy a sub for my KRK speakers, but decided against it.

Instead, I bought the AIAIAI TMA-2 Wireless headphones and they're probably the best thing I've bought for recording in ages. I've had two of their wired headphones over the years, and didn't use them that much when recording because they'd get in the way of my guitar and just get tangled.

It's liberating to have wireless ones now. I'm recording way more and feel like the quality is better due to the intimacy of headphones as opposed to speakers in an untreated room.

If you're not familiar with these, they're not just bluetooth, they have a transceiver that plugs into the headphones output of your interface, and uses a low latency connection far better than bluetooth. No lag or latency at all. They've totally changed my enjoyment of working on music. https://aiaiai.audio/stories/pro…

    • I have a regular wired set and I really like them. I ended up buying a few of the different speaker options to see what I preferred and sold the others.microkorg
    • have been tempted to grab the wireless ones on black Friday or similar sales.microkorg
    • These sound good too, I assume?letterhead
    • what drivers are they? literally just got the TMA2 DJ yesterday and they are bass heavy, but I thought they sounded ok.. but then I have had people totallyautoflavour
    • shit on them for being muddy. like sure compared to my HD25 and DT990 they are heavy on the low end, but kind of what it says on the boxautoflavour
    • I had one of the bassier ones, maybe S02. But settled on the S01 for a more 'real' sound.microkorg
    • Have the S01 with the E08 alcantara over ear. The pads make a difference to the sound too. Auto, the DJ ones come with the small pads. Try the larger asmicrokorg
    • it may help to ease the bass a little.microkorg
