just sorting through some old gig programmes in the garage and came across this one from 1979. This was my 1st festival - 2 of the headliners were dropped and 1 changed ON THE NIGHT! Believe me it was pretty upsetting to have the fucking Scorpions on instead of Thin Lizzy but worse was to come on the Sunday night when The Ramones, who were my main reason for going going in the first place pulled out at the last minute to be replaced by Nils Lofgren!
Don't start with the "ahh, oh dear" shit as I am probably still not over the upset that caused me over 30 years ago... however Cheap Trick, The Cure, Peter Gabriel and Motorhead made up for it, a bit.
