Faith, of course... but, faith supported with fact. And yes, I've spent a considerable amount of time studying reliable books on the subject of manuscripts and apologetics. However, I don't believe I could ever argue anyone into the faith that i have. It really comes down to personal faith. And I believe God has to generate this in an individual's heart. All I am saying is that my journey was objective and intelligent and it led to faith - much like numerous others I know and know of. I frankly couldn't care less about what the liberal media has to say about a Mel Gibson movie about Jesus. Though I will see it, because I've heard that the punishment Christ endured on our behalf is (finally) accurately portrayed on film.
The crucifixion of Christ was not pretty.
