it also depends where in germany. for instance i wouldn't suggest berlin if you don't speak german. not that they don't speak english in berlin. but there is an overkill in skilled designers, illustrators etc. here in berlin. a lot of them unemployed or just barely making it. so they tend to work with one / employ one with the least barriers. unless you're very experienced and really good at what you do. hamburg and muenchen is a whole different story. but you rather talk to someone from those areas.
