1. Inpainting, is like highlighting things within the photo and editing them. Yes, we won’t have to rely on text prompts as much, we will be able to make changes to photos we generate and likely uploaded images.
2. It gets much better because the 2nd thing that we will be able to do is outpainting, which is essentially expanding on the image. I’ve made videos Leonardo before which currently has this feature but I found myself pulling images from midjourney together alot.
3. Third will be a function that you can input an image and midjourney will create a prompt for it. Its like reverse prompting, so you can upload your own images or images across the web and see what prompt it would take to generate that which will be a great learning tool. To use this function it will be /describe
4. the images are also going to get more high resolution. I know its hard to believe, but they are.
5. Text Support will be coming in version 7 and 8. For whatever reason it is really hard to get text in these images and you have to do it manually and use tools like photoshop.
6. We will see a Web user interface, and likely say goodbye to discord and I think many will be excited to do so
7. Real Time Drawing will be an insane feature if I understand it correctly users will be able to interact with the software as it is generating leading for more precise creations. And this is the main thing I’m looking for with midjourney... More edits, customization and more using AI. Which will feel like AI photoshop
8. And finally they are adding an API so that developers will be able to build custom apps and integrate midjourney into their tools.
