    Do people have kids to give them purpose and things to do?

    I stay busy and am generally happy, but I mostly go to work and then chill out at night and go do a thing or two on the weekend.

    I'm single and have nothing particularly to look forward to.

    People ask me how I am, and I say "good" or "fine". Everything is fine now. I have my health. I have some savings, money is stable but I don't have a ton to go crazy.

    Is this all there is?

    Seems crazy how much effort my parents put into me. Soccer practice pick ups, weekends, parent teacher conferences, camps. All for me to grow up and just get an office job.
