There should be a logo/mark/whatever called "made by a human", to put on non-ai made illustrations/images/designs etc.

    • You can NFT AI-made stuff, so how's that an alternative?jagara
    • Yes, i used NFT as a verb.jagara
    • Just joking, there's no need for NFTs at all. A lot people already sign their work. Looks like you were looking more for an authenticity certificate...palimpsest
    • ... that's why NFTs came to mind.palimpsest
    • Well, "AI artists" sometimes sign their "work". Just something stating that this was made by a human.jagara
    • Yes, so what's the solution?palimpsest
    • Or even, where is the problem?palimpsest
    • I guess like organic food has https://tinyurl.com/…jagara
    • If you can't tell the difference between an AI & a human made image is there a difference in the way you experience it? Is a human made img healthier for you?palimpsest
    • I have posted human made images in the AI QBN threads and nobody has noticed.palimpsest
    • If you're paying for images and want to pay extra for a human generated image I can understand the labels. But as a simple spectator I personally don't care.palimpsest
    • And if we're really interested in fair trade & organic work I don't think many humans would pass that label.palimpsest
    • You don't see the value in trying to distinguish human made and ai made work? In the sense that this technology might rob people of their livelyhood?jagara
    • And also devalue human work?jagara
    • Yes, I see the value in human work that's why I made the distinction between paying for work and experiencing the work.palimpsest
    • I might not taste the difference in fair trade coffee but I'm willing to pay for it. I only see an interest if there's a monetary transaction.palimpsest
    • And if you can be replaced by a machine it's up you to find that added "value" to your work if you think it's work worth pursuing.palimpsest
    • I think people need to be protected not jobs. For me, a job is a mean not an end.palimpsest
    • I'm not paying extra for fair trade so the coffee picker gets to keep his job but so he gets less exploited.palimpsest
    • I would like him to be in a co-op or even not have to pick coffee, I really don't care about his coffee picking.palimpsest
    • Continuing with the coffee analogy. The only person I think is key in my coffee experience is the roaster. They have to choose the right coffee and roasting.palimpsest
    • The roasting itself is done by machines but the roaster sets the parameters to match the taste they have in mind.palimpsest
    • The barista is just there for the theater of it and can be replaced by a machine as well.palimpsest
