  I made the perfect amount of food tonight for dinner, for 2½ people.

  My partner looked at what came out of the oven and pans with withering irritation and made sure to comment that I'd not cooked enough.

  I've become a bit irritated by how much otherwise ok food goes into the bio recycling bin thing each day. And believe me, we jar up every last morsel otherwise for reheating where we can, but still.

  I had it absolutely perfect. There's a half sprig of broccoli and a shard of potato left. Everything else gone.

  Do I get any credit here? Do I fuck. Quite the opposite.
