@scarabin again, from my time in Spain I found a lot of amazing dishes, one of my favourite bar snacks was papas bravas. Crispy crunchy potatoes topped with a zingy bright orange sauce. Spectacular. Also, papas a lo pobre for cooking at home, and lentejas con chorizo. The last two use a short list of ingredients, make really hearty dishes, and are dirt cheap to make. I usually brown off some chicken legs or chicken wings and throw them in with the chorizo for a bit more protein. I'm sure OBB will have more recommendations, but these are sure-fire winners for me.

    • Crazy how much that papas bravas is basically a potato curry. It’s next on my list!scarabin
    • Weird for me - I lived in Andalucia for years, where apparently 'papas' is used in place of 'patatas' and I cannot ever remember hearing it.Nairn
