    A lovely table/finishing salt i came up with this morning.

    In a food processor, whirl a head of peeled, raw garlic. Add two cups of salt and whirl again. At this point, add MSG and herbs (i used thyme ‘cause it goes well with everything) and give it a stir.

    The resulting mixture will feel like slightly damp sand. Spread this out on a tray and dry in the oven. Low heat, door cracked. When it’s dry, whirl it again for a finer texture.

    Keepin’ it in a shaker on my table. Next time i think a few drops of truffle oil added after drying would send it over the top. A chili one would be interesting as well.
