Peoples use of the word "extremely".

I heard a person in an interview disappointed that he wasn't "extremely happy" with his life. Happiness is a rare state in itself, when you think about it - what people usually mean is content.

I've heard people answer "extremely well" or "extremely productive" when asked how it's going.

Really? Do you expect to be EXTREMELY happy with your life more than twice in a lifetime? Are you actually EXTREMELY well or EXTREMELY productive?

Stop it with the fucking hyperbole.

    • Part of our collective problem in society today is the use of over exaggeration for the mundane. Words don't accurately reflect the moment. Not everything isShenanigansTV
    • awesome. Nobody has a billion things to do. So, as a result people now say "super" to express something that already has an accurate word for the measurmentShenanigansTV
