As an aside to this, there was a guy I read a post from a while back somewhere who intrioduced his kid to gaming chronologically, starting with Pong, or whaatever, then Atari games, 8-bit Nintendos, etc, all the way up to contemporary games.I hope I have the patience to do something like that when my kid gets old enough.
I got my first computer when I was 6 or so, so as much as I'm wary about screen-time, it would be weird of me to deny my kid what I had at her age.
- My kid started with the Switch but has made his own way back through Nintendo's history. He's even been on eBay buying retro games.palimpsest
