It's surprising how few viable alternatives there are for Twitter. Thinking back to the Web 2.0 days when everyone was launching a new app seemingly on a weekly basis. Now would seem to be golden opportunity for another company to jump in and steal some of Twitter's userbase.

    • I know of Mastodon for years and know of people, mainly programmers and hackers who use it really actively and don't even have a Twitter account.oey_oey
    • I had a test account and after finding out I had a Twitter account, two weeks after Elon took over, I immediately signed up for an account.oey_oey
    • Still on Twitter just to watch how this Elon thing is evolving, lots of people drooling like if he was some kind of god or example to follow, cause he's f* richoey_oey
    • Made a account on Hive, its the closest thing to twitter but does run quite slow compared to twitter.Nutter
