When a mid-level manager making $100k per year has a divorce or two, doesn’t get to see the kids, etc. he has a mid life crisis, he buys an $80k sports car. But he doesn’t pay cash, he gets a loan and makes payments.
When the richest man around has a mid life crisis, he buys twitter. Same thing, on a scale that matches his wallet.
