The IKEA vs Swedish House Mafia studio furniture is kinda goated. I got a 3 tier studio desk a few years ago but tbh it's kinda shit for prolonged use, and sucks with a laptop, this one looks kinda perfect... going to check it out tomorrow and maybe one of those high-pile rugs and record bags and LED lamp and...
- I think I’m gonna snag 4 of the tablet stands for better, angled drum machine placement on desk, cheap enough, might need 6prophetone

- picked up the desk, rug and lamp. it's all really good gear. i'll maybe pick up another lamp next week but it's flying out. got the last rug in the storekingsteven
- desk is huge and rock solid, going to have to get a monitor arm to bring it closer... all far above the quality you would expect for the price.kingsteven
- thanks for the heads-up. just grabbed a couple of the tablet stands. Was tempted to buy a load and flog them on ebay when all sold out ;)microkorg
- I have an Ikea Stolmen (synth shelves) setup that's just gathering dust in our garage. Had it all setup at old house but this one ceilings are too high.microkorg
- ^ you're better off. everyone wants the big synth setup until they realise it's totally counter productive to making music. big desk + stands. set up as you go/kingsteven
- take down and zero when you're done. optimise your cable and gear storage and it's just as quick. shit starts feeling like a museum otherwise.kingsteven
- - went back and got the last lamp in the store. very little left on the shelveskingsteven
