Best thing I went to in Montpellier was a wine festival in September near the central boulevard. You paid €5 for a medium sized wine glass and 3 tickets. Then you could go to any of the vineyard stalls and try any of their wines, if you liked the sip, you gave them the ticket and they poured a glass for you. There was also a stall selling plates for cheeses, pan, pickles and charcuterie.
In the golden afternoon sunlight, outside, surrounded but the nice architecture. It was heaven. Suffice to say I came home with a set of glasses a broader awareness of their regional wines.
- When I listen to Kings of Convenience and close my eyes, memories of Montpellier roll past. It’s that sort of place.shapesalad
