c'mon people, OF COURSE there's a difference between hardline conservatives like Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld and Richard Perle and people like John Kerry and John Edwards. I too would like to see more diversity in The American political spectrum, but at a time when the repubs control the white house AND both houses of congress, and are busy rewriting the redistricting rules to shut out the minority vote, rewriting the constitution, and getting ready to stack the Supreme Court with opponents of civil liberities and a woman's right to choose, this is really NOT the time to vote for someone for making a statement type reasons when the actual end result of that is to keep an group of extreme far-right military types in power. We need more choices to be sure, and that can be achived in the long run, but it's simply too dangerous to leave one party in power for another four years. Fortunately I think the vast majority of people realize that and are pretty much united in their opposition to Bush. Just look at the record turnout in the Democratic primaries and the dismissal (rightly or wrongly) of Dean in favor of rallying around Kerry. At the very least, the anti-Nader backlash will be huge. Of course, what we really need to do is draft Perot to run again:)
