Felt a bit nostalgic and went on Google Street view to check out the East Village neighborhood in NYC where I used to live about 10-12 years ago.
The apartment building I was in back then seems to have had a face lift and then I checked the listings and prices of the apartments there now.
About $3600 for 1BR!
I was there in 2009-2010 and my rent was like $1700-1900 or so.
Crazy how rent prices went up in NYC and Manhattan.
- same happening in all major cities. I don't know how it's sustainable.shapesalad
