Purple is one of the hardest colors to work with.
Try PMS 527 uncoated (dark)
and PMS 529 uncoated (light)
Convert those into CMYK from illustrator.What you really need is a 4 color process book, instead of a Pantone book. Too bad I don't have one at home...
