Going green... not a solution for most of the world at all.

    ^ From super interesting presentation:

    • Nuclear, nuclear, nuclear.Nairn
    • Yup, nuclear is the wayGnash
    • Do i need to watch the video to understand why solar's apparently not suitable across huge swathes of the earth?Nairn
    • The carbon cost to manufacture a solar panel - and run it, in say UK - is not carbon neutral, it;s pointless. It's not eco. Hence why it's only suitableshapesalad
    • for really really really sunny areas.shapesalad
    • And those areas near people. else it's pointless.shapesalad
    • Just put the video on in the background when you're working, instead of listening to that K-pop Boyband stuff you love listening too.shapesalad
    • Much of this video so far (I'm over half way through) is wrong. He raises some interesting points, but has a very ..er.. particular, perspective.Nairn
    • I'm very pro-nuclear (lol at me on a design forum), but he entirely misrepresents solar in his thinking.Nairn
    • ie. for a start - if you're making solar plants in a place that uses renewables or low carbon, it 'doesn't matter' what the energy equation is.Nairn
    • VERY GOOD LECTUREpr2
