this is america's favorite war because it is profitable to weapons manufacturers, good for presidential approval rating and we can fight russia without having to care when soldiers die. plus since nobody understands sanctions, when economic turmoil trickles down to everyday russians then it doesn't matter. a real winner all around.
i see shit like "how ukraine is winning the war" and it's like well they have billions of dollars of weapons just dropped on them and the CIA, NSA and who knows else feeding them info. no shit they're looking better than expected. how stupid can people be to accept the narrative of the mainstream media, it's like 2003-2006 iraq all over again.
- (i should say "having to pretend to care")colin_s
- no it's not. Iraq never pretended to be part of the civilized world, Russia did.pr2
- Here comes Colin again. So what’s your point? Let Russia commit war crimes and destroy another country in Europe because of their imperial dreams?NBQ00
- And what exactly is surprising about the west supplying weapons? Do you want Russia to win and enslave Ukraine and invade more countries?NBQ00
- It's such a weird mentality some people have that because USA started wars in the past, now they gonna cheer on Russia as it does same thing to Ukraine.yuekit
- In reality of course USA and Europe spent weeks begging Putin not to invade...how does this any make sense if they wanted war?yuekit
- A week before the invasion..."Biden made an impassioned appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin to step back from war"
https://archive.ph/j…yuekit - America's favourite war is the war on drugs, because it has never ended. Also from what you've said it sounds like you want Russia to win? either way, dumb postBuddhaHat
- I don't think the US should be world police. I think we have no right to call out Russia for war crimes. And I think the US sending untold billions to Ukraine..colin_s
- ..as this country is rotting, people are in need and the gov't is spending nothing on social services is a crime against the people who live here.colin_s
- Ukraine isn't even part of NATO and the US has no obligation to do this - they are doing it purely to maintain the military industrial complex. Every country iscolin_s
- able to make its own decisions, including the ones we don't like. We're funding a genocide in Yemen and Flint still has no drinking water. Fuck this countrycolin_s
- I'm not pro-Putin, I'm anti-war. Cheering this shit on is insane to me.colin_s
- Armenia needs help too...but that isn't on repeat in the mainstream media.BabySnakes
- The US is still the wealthiest nation on earth, funding war and funding drinking water in Flint aren't mutually exclusive. They could do both if they wanted to.BuddhaHat
- And the absence of war wouldn't get those same govt people to fund drinking water in Flint. Were they making any headway before war kicked off? No.BuddhaHat
- What BS, colin. I'm anti-war too but this war has huge implications on entire Europe if Russia gets away with it.NBQ00
- It's not just the US sending weapons and money. Just because Ukraine isn't in NATO doesn't mean we can't supply them with weapons to defend themselves.NBQ00
- Thanks to Russia invading Ukr, now more countries want to be part of NATO and MIC is profiting massively due to upgrades of military everywhere.NBQ00
- colin. what's the alternative?pango
- Just because the US maybe benefiting from the war doesn’t mean that what Russia is doing isn’t terrible.Chimp
- "the gov't is spending nothing on social services" This is just completely wrong. Since Biden came into office he has spent over $3 trillion on additionalyuekit
- public spending, first on the COVID relief bill then on a bill to upgrade infrastructure across the country. Total spending on Ukraine a few billion, spendingyuekit
- on USA (on top of normal spending) over 3,000 billion. Trump also passed multiple trillion dollar bills during the COVID pandemic. So cmon, at least get theyuekit
- facts right, seem like you are just working off vague impressions here.yuekit
- @collins I get your point on the US' hypocrisy. But what do you think China and Russia would do without the US being the world police?Chimp
- I agree the US needs to sort out its social services, but it can do both. Hey that's corporate greed for you.Chimp
