    • pah! tis but a scratch.hans_glib
    • I wonder if those 172 planes were any aircraft or actual fighters. If it's the latter, that alone carries an enormous pricetag.MondoMorphic
    • ...and to lose 829 tanks. Damn.MondoMorphic
    • read somewhere around twitter that they had around 1000-1500 tanks for this campaign and 2000-3000 total in the army in still working condition, so yeah

    • re: the planes, yes many were fighters and some were blown up on the runways
      ********
    • if I remember correctly, the UA blew like half a dozen or so on the runway in one attack, then the Russians added more and those were blown too next!
      ********
    • and the best thing, they can't make anymore tanks and planes, those require imported parts from the West and with sanctions, Russia ain't getting shit ever

    • These are NATO numbers for comparison: https://en.wikipedia…
      ********
    • So 800+1500 tanks in Europe + 2500 Abrams tanks from the US in TOTAL in the NATO force

    • Russia lost so much so fast, I doubt they could continue posing a threat in any future wars (except nuclear and even then everybody has doubts about it now)

    • There are more Javelins and other anti-tank weapons in Ukraine now than Russia has army vehicles in their entire remaining army, so yeah...
      ********
    • It's beyond me how they will hold up East+South of Ukraine by the end of the year...
      ********
    • RIP to all those soldiers dead in a lost war from the start
