    my latest gripe:

today i had the wifi unplugged to re-arrange some cords but wanted to listen to some music. my MBP then told me my password was wrong. i was recently gifted an old 2010 clunker, so i tried that. no good. i knew it could be only one thing, and sure enough: i wasn't allowed to log in to my own fucking computer without an active wifi connection. wtf.

    • that's weird because I can log into my Mac without a wifi connection and I do so on the train regularly for the last few yearsmonospaced
    • That probably means the machine is set up to remotely authenticate with a company. Used/recycled Macs with corp. security settings are ditched all-the-time.evilpeacock
    • Not sure why this has an upvote because this is pure user error and is absolutely not a problem with macs.monospaced
