If you get an Apple Studio + a cheap non apple monitor, what's the audio & webcam solution? Seems most monitors are a bit crappy, no web cam, no speakers...
I'm increasingly being drawn to just getting the new apple monitor...
- Speakers in monitors are garbage anyways. A cheap pair of Logitech's (or whatever) will be 10x better.section_014
- considering that apple monitor myself but usually no speakers and webcam is a good thing... current is LG 32" ultrafine + Razer Kiyo + Adam A7xkingsteven
- Apple = 1 decision/purchase. Non-apple = 3 decisions/purchases = more time researching, setting up etc.shapesalad
- Similar quality webcam is another $100, make sure it has a mic!********
- External speakers take up precious desk space and will be worse on video calls.********
- Studio Display speakers/mic make sense. It’s not for quality music or audio monitoring. It’s for zoom calls without headphones.********
- In other words, the display audio doesn’t replace good speakers for those who need them. Serves a different purpose.********
- Why would anyone want speakers on the monitor? Zoom calls go through your reg speakers anyway, no need to cheap/limited speakers on your screen.formed
- The speakers in the monitor are better than the laptop. Zoom calls would use the monitor speakers derp.monospaced
- A monitor with speakers is great for people who want to hear sound coming from the computer and don’t want separate speakers.monospaced
