^ Regarding exports of Russia (oil and natural gas) this thread explains it nicely how they are also fucked counting on their resources to bounce from their war and sanctions
some tweets:
"Russian economy is super fragile. It's critically dependent upon the:
1. Export of natural resources
2. Technological importIt has always been so. That's why Russia could never win a major war without massive economic help of the West. Without Western allies Russia's doomed"
"The very idea that expanding on Chinese one-buyer market can compensate the losses on Western multi-buyers market is insane. China perfectly understand Russian neediness and will use its leverage fully. "Friendship" of a declining empire with a rising superpower is a delusion"

Must read to better understand their stand on natural resources exports (which seems to be also weak, just like their military stand)
- the regions of Russia above China are more ethnically mongolian/chinese looking. China could easily assimilate them and take those areas.shapesalad
- Hence there's been very little effort from Russia to build infrastructure routes between Russia/China. Which is a pity now isn't it...shapesalad
- The only thing that Russia and China can not export and will never be capable of exporting...is soft power.utopian
