calm your tits guys. there will never be another war like world war 2.
what we're entering into is a war of leverage and negotiation. the wealth of the world is too wrapped up in the stability of global trade to more than temporarily disrupt any area's economy.
russia will not maintain an occupation of central ukraine longer than a few months (max). they may carve another piece off the side.
they're digging in to increase their leverage for negotiating with NATO. Putin's going to walk away with a win, too. The reason is exactly WHY there won't be a WWIII: no one is going to get into a land war with fucking Russia!
And neither will we intervene militarily between Taiwan and China.
