I've been trying to truly understand the Russian position here. To me it seems pretty cut and dry. Good vs Evil.

But there is the other side's view. They don't see themselves as evil. They see themselves of victims. I've been looking for decent debates on the subject, but nothing really comes up.

There is a ton of Pro-Russian memes and whataboutisms in regards to the west's position during Balkan crisis, but that gives me no insight to the Pro-Russion position.

Then I came across this. It's two years old so it's not charged with the current situation. It gave me way more understanding of the Moscow POV. Granted I think their actions/invasion tactics are unquestionably fucked. But helps me see a bit beyond the black and white.

Anyway take a listen while you are pushing yer pixels:

    • This video I posted on the other thread touches on it. https://www.youtube.…Chimp
    • is there a they? or just putin and friends? Don't think russian citizens want war as well.pango
    • The Russians I know are either against it or indifferent. I suppose it’s hard to tell unless you live there.Chimp
    • "They" in this case is any one who is Pro-Russian aggression or the Putin apologists.wagshaft
    • Geopolitics are only in Vlad‘s head. If Russia was in the EU he”d be gone by next elections, and not a tzar at allgrafician
