The primary SSD harddrive on my old iMac has disappeared. Currently using the secondary (fusion) drive to boot up which is pretty slow by comparison. It's generally my second monitor, but also my primary music creation system. Anyone know how to check whether the data on the SSD is retrievable without opening up the iMac? The SSD doesn't show in Disk Utility or in System Report.
- does it appear if you type "diskutil list" in terminal?kingsteven

- Cheers. It only messed up at the weekend, so I'll have a muck about. The thing is I had Ableton set up just how i liked it on there - and a ton of my music.Ianbolton
- This is what happened to my iMac a few months back. Still need to crack it to wipe the drive before tossing the rest.i_monk
