    I'm not vegan but I've been wanting to try a Jackfruit BBQ sandwich for months if not years. I was a vegetarian for about 10 years in my 20's and would like to try and eat healthier again.
    I actually like the Beyond and Impossible Burgers and thought and heard this jackfruit tasted just like shredded pork BBQ.

    Bull Shit! It was the grossest thing I've ever tasted. Actually it wasn't so much the taste but the texture.
    The texture was like like orange slices and mushrooms doused in BBQ sauce.

    Sorry pigs. I gave it a try but I will be exclusively eating you for now on.

    • Yeah jackfruit is strictly a visual thing imo. Tastes nothing like it looksscarabin
    • As someone who became veg for more ecological reasons than moral ones, i definitely can attest that jackfruit (as good as it can be) is no match for pulled porkhardhat
    • jackfruit prep is like an alien autopsy, hard to get through it with an appetite but i can do a decent job of this, it's fucking terrible when it's done wrongkingsteven
