If you have any symptoms now or in the next few weeks, you can be pretty confident that you have it. If a test says negative, test again in 3 days and it will be positive.

If you live with someone, you’ll give it to them or they gave it to you. This is as easy to catch as the common cold.

My advice: if you feel sick, quarantine with your family if you can swing it. Save your home tests for later, you don’t need one now because you definitely have it. Home tests give false negatives until 5 to 7 days after infection. They’re useful for finding asymptomatic infection. But right now at this moment, symptoms tell you everything you need to know.

    • I was probably infected on a Wednesday, I had dinner at my place with 5 friends on Friday, no one caught it. Sunday I had a +ve PRC but home test was -ve.Chimp
    • Home tests are probably only accurate when you have symptoms.Chimp
    • It’s all about viral load. It’s not on/off. So you may have been less infectious to your friends by day two. And the home tests require a decent load.nb
    • I actually have no idea if home tests are good for finding asymptomatic infection. But if you have the symptoms you have the virus. (thx, Omicron)nb

    • Just make sure you’re not spreading your load everywhere.Chimp
    • There’s no way to know how potent your load is.nb

    • May as well allow murderers the right to choose to kill.Brabo_Brabo
    • Can you see how this is consistent with freedom to choose re bodily autonomy?Brabo_Brabo
    • What IS inconsistent is the Pro Choicers bodily autonomy crew mandating vaxxines.Brabo_Brabo
