my team of 4 hasn't submitted any sick days in a year (made permanent work from home Nov 2020) and now have a meeting with management because they think we're spoofing

    • That is balls. I read an internal exec paper today citing lower performance in legal due to WFH fatigue, I wonder if they'll be as considerate for everyone elseBuddhaHat
    • i do the same amount of work just much slower and it eats in to my own time far more. almost worth the 3 colds a year from public transport and colleagues tbhkingsteven
    • sick days... most people take when they have the sniffles. total joke. sick days should be used for serious conditions or injuries.shapesalad
    • I've had 3 sick days in my whole career. One due to a serve infection, two due to bicycle accident and stay in hospital. this is over 20+ years.shapesalad
    • I get siiiick sometimes and need the days. Not some sniffles shit.

    • hah, my last was the 3 days i took when i had covid (before testing) and one of our team has a whole host of health conditions and is crazy efficient now...kingsteven
    • and frees up my time as i don't have to hear him complain about his knees, ankles, diabetes, allergies, depression etc. definitely works for some.kingsteven
