i could certainly see a coup in 2024. one of two ways:
1. trump runs as republican candidate, loses, and the military w/assistance from milita groups take hold of the white house / capitol
2. trump loses in the primaries but runs as a third party (even write-in) candidate, totally fucks up the election / electoral math, giving way to everybody thinking the results are a sham no matter who "wins," leading to a complete dissolution of institutional power (and then the military stepping in - which would probably install trump or maybe a mike pence-like figure, far right and pro military)
i don't really see the US surviving the next election if trump runs tho, as the democrats have zero candidates that will get anyone under 40 to be enthusiastic given how shit biden has been
